MISSING ASSIGNMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are absent or serving a suspension, you are eligible to make up missed assignments. Until you do, you will have a zero for that assignment. I implore you to take responsibility for your grades by going to your student account on Synergy, find which days you were absent and the assignments on those days, make a list, and make time to come see me before school, before or after class, or after school so you and I can make plans for you to make up that missing work. Until you do, you will have a zero. The longer you wait, the more work you will have to do.
HONORS WORLD
Thursday, March 3rd (TOMORROW), we will have the Socratic Seminar for Chapters 1-4 of The Power of One. Please have your dialectical journals and your 3 open-ended questions. Don't be average. Aim to ask as least two of your questions and make 5 comments during the seminar.
Friday, March 4th, we have scheduled a vocabulary quiz and the The Power of One quiz for chapters 5-9. Bring your journals for chapters 5-9 as well. If you finished both quizzes before class is over, plan to work on your next set of journals that will be due Monday.
WORLD
2nd and 4th Blocks will continue to read A Thousand Splendid Suns as well as work on identifying direct and indirect characterization. Also, we will touch on two of the archetypes on the Unit 2 test: the Abusive Mother and Absent Father.
Friday, March 4th, we will have a vocabulary quiz. Study, study, and oh yeah, study.
